The basic fee of CZK 3000 includes:
- Entrance to the legal mine and the chance to search for moldavites in the original moldavite-bearing layer
- Rental of all necessary equipment (pickaxes, helmets, work gloves, boots, raincoats in case of bad weather)
- 5 g moldavite (guaranteed)

The expected duration of the excursion is about 3 hours, of which at least 2 hours are spent “digging”. If the client finds moldavites above the specified weight, then they can be bought for a favourable mining price of CZK 300/g. If 5 g is not found, then the client can choose from moldavites originating from this locality, which we have already mined. As the manager of the deposit, the Moldavite Museum reserves the right to keep any moldavites weighing 20 g or more, in addition to exceptionally interesting moldavites of a lower weight, for the collection purposes of the Museum. Regarding moldavites eventually exhibited in the museum, the finder can be named (if desired). In practice, this means that any findings of the participants weighing over 20 g and other exceptional moldavites will first be evaluated after the excursion by members of the museum commission, who then decide which pieces will be left to the museum and which ones can be purchased by the finders. (Finders have the right of first refusal to buy these moldavites)

Currently, the size of the mine allows about 7 people to participate in one excursion.
Reservations must be paid through the online payment gateway or by gift voucher when making a booking. Payment must be made immediately, otherwise the booking is not valid.
Cancellation is possible no later than 72 hours before the excursion, in which case payment is refunded in full.
We do not refund payments for cancellations made at a later date. (In other words: the cancellation fee is 100% of the booking payment.) Excursions take place in all weather conditions.
For a group of 4-7 people it is possible to arrange a private excursion outside the dates listed. Write to us with your requirements at muzeum@vltaviny.cz
In case of extremely bad weather or technical problems that prevent the excursion taking place, participants will be offered a replacement date.
